House rules and conditions

  • Leave the hall clean after use: floors broomed and mopped, and all kitchen appliances, dishes, cutlery, and surfaces washed.
  • Remove all waste using the mosque bins, or arrange your own removal if they are full.
  • Dress modestly, as the hall sits beside a house of Allah. This includes a head covering for women and modest clothing for everyone.
  • Keep noise to a level that does not disturb worshippers during prayer.
  • No smoking in or around the hall, and no illegal activity of any kind.
  • Advertising an event at the hall needs the committee’s approval first.
  • You are responsible for any damage during your hire, and should report it to the committee straight away.

Music is not permitted in the hall. Speeches, lectures, and Quran recitation at a respectful volume are welcome. The committee may vary or cancel a booking if these terms are not met.
